This K-Beauty Device Was All Over My FYP, So I Finally Tested It

I’ve been trying any skincare device I could get my hands on since the golden era of YouTube beauty gurus. Clarisonic brushes, Foreo, gua shas, ice rollers… you name it. In 2026, LED light therapy was hailed as one of the best ways to reduce inflammation and acne. I’d never tried it (other than giving myself a facial), but after years of popularity—and my commitment to having the most glowing skin possible—I decided to give it a try. I still wasn’t sure if it was worth the investment, but then a relatively affordable option started popping up all over my TikTok FYP: Medicube Booster Pro.

Medicube rose to popularity as Korean beauty trends began to rise in popularity in the U.S. Sunscreens, serums, and toners were just starting to explode online, and it became clear that K-beauty had a lot to offer skin care lovers. I first saw Medicube Booster Pro in a video from one of my favorite beauty followers, @greeneggsandglam on TikTok. I was excited to see if this new device could do any good for my skin, considering I had tried so many without really committing to any of them. Read on for my full review after trying it myself.

What is Medicube Booster Pro?

Medicube has gone viral several times for their Zero Pore Toner Pads, which have 4.6 stars on Amazon with nearly 19,000 reviews. They consistently launch exciting products with the advanced science that Korean beauty brands are known for, and the Medicube Booster Pro is their first foray into skincare devices. It’s a 6-in-1 tool that offers LED therapy, sonic vibrations, and four different modes to help with product absorption, skin rejuvenation, firming, and lifting.

The brand boasts that this tool is the key to glass skin. Their PDRN product is a bestseller because it is proven to increase skin elasticity and hydration. If you’re wondering what PDRN is, you’re not alone. It stands for Polydeoxyribonucleotide, which is an anti-inflammatory regenerative compound extracted from salmon DNA (crazy, I know). Booster Pro is part of Medicube’s PDRN line.

  • Skin Injections: Helps definition, stimulates your facial muscles to make them more elastic.
  • MC (Microcurrent mode): Increases volume in areas prone to sagging, such as around the eyes and mouth.
  • Drivers: Helps your products absorb deeper into the skin, perfect for your everyday serum or facial mask.

Medicube Booster Pro Review: My Experience

For context, I have dry, acne-prone skin, and my current skincare routine is pretty simple. However, I paired Booster Pro with PDRN’s Medicube serum (which also dominates my FYP) to get the full K-beauty experience.

I used Medicube Booster Pro for two weeks and found it did everything it claimed. I’m more interested in the Booster and Derma Shot modes. In the morning, when I’m at my most puffy, I can see an immediate difference in how awake I feel after using both. I tried to move up to higher levels from time to time, but the sonic vibrations of each mode felt very different to the results they delivered. I felt my muscles twitching in Microcurrent mode like I would when I saw a professional.

“Using Booster Pro made me realize that I don’t need to stock my cupboard with new serums, I just need my current serums to work harder for me.”

Booster Mode is my overall favorite because my face looks the most radiant after using it. The setting definitely pushed my serum into my skin the longer I used it. Using Booster Pro made me realize that I don’t need to fill my cupboard with new serums, I just need my current serums to work harder for me. I love having a tool that feels like a one-stop shop for my skincare routine. Even though it takes 60+ days to form a habit, I’m confident that Booster Pro will easily become a part of my daily routine.

Is Medicube Booster Pro Worth It?

At $220, the Medicube Booster Pro is still an investment. However, if you’re obsessed with skin care or want to get light therapy at home, they’re usually more affordable than any red light mask or microcurrent device on the market—and combining them into one device is easy. Having all these benefits in one product makes it easy for me to say yes. Luckily, if you’re new to booster mode, Medicube also offers the Booster Pro Mini. This is the same device only with Booster mode and at a lower price.
