Our Family’s Princess Bridal Costume
A few weeks ago, I was at a friend’s house and someone asked her son what he was going to be for Halloween.
She said she had been trying on costumes from their costume place and was trying to decide and I felt a twinge of jealousy.
The idea of just picking out a costume and moving on sounds SO good to me and I wonder why we keep making these elaborate family costumes.
But then, earlier this week, we put on our full Princess Bride costumes and went to have our photos taken and everyone loved them so much and they turned out so well that I remembered why I was willing to go to such a crazy effort for my kids.
We were standing around our buffet the other night looking at family costumes through the years and I’m so glad we kept doing it and it’s been a really bonding family experience for us.
We’ve been tossing around the Princess Bride costume idea for a few years, but this year it finally got to the “we’re actually doing this” place.
