Set in 1920s Australia, the film follows a lighthouse keeper and his wife who make a heartbreaking choice after finding a baby washed up on the beach, raising him as their own with life-changing consequences.

Roasted Vegetables: How to Grill Everything from Artichokes to Zucchini for Big, Bold Flavor in Pasta, Pizza, Risotto, Side Dishes, Couscous, Salsas, Sauces, Sandwiches, and Salads by Andrea Chesman – ebook – $1.99
Roasting is my favorite way to eat vegetables – it brings out so much rich flavor. If you’re trying to add more vegetables to your diet this year, this is a great cookbook to stock up on, and I love buying cookbooks on the cheap because they’re the kind of books I reference over and over again.

The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig – audiobook – $4.99
Gothic romances aren’t usually my favorite, but if you like them with a bit of mystery, a moody atmosphere, and a slow-burn romance, this one could be a hit. It’s about Sybil, a prophetess who dreams of the future and must team up with a skeptical (and charming) knight when her fellow Seers begin to disappear.

Aesop’s Fables by Aesop – audiobook – $1.99
I grew up with Aesop’s Fables and this 4+ hour audio version is a very affordable way to introduce your kids to this classic work. (Plus, it’s a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell – audiobook – $4.99
Ella listened to the entire series and loved every second of it. My sisters have three boys and they are obsessed with it too. There are 13 books in the series and these tales of Vikings and dragons are fast-paced and fun. (Plus, it’s a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

The Anne of Green Gables Collection by L.M. Montgomery – audiobook – $1.99
If there’s one deal in this post that really gives you the best bang for your buck, it’s this – over 72 hours of stories for under $2! If you’re an Anne lover (like me!), this collection is simply gorgeous. (Plus, it’s a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

The Tales of Doctor Dolittle by Hugh Lofting – audiobook – $1.99
You probably know a thing or two about Dr. Dolittle, a doctor who learns to talk to animals. Her adventures take her all over the world as she heals all kinds of creatures. (Plus, it’s a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion Vol. 1 by Beth Brower – audiobook – $4.99
If you’ve been here for a while, you know I love this series! I’ve read the entire series twice before it was published on audio and I’m really excited to try the audio version – wait until you hear all the narrators’ voices! And if you have trouble understanding physical books, let me tell you that audiobooks really help. I can’t believe this one is still being sold for under $5!

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones – audiobook – $4.99
My 13 year old just read this last week and loved it! When Sophie is cursed by the Witch of the Waste and turned into an old woman, her only hope lies in the mysterious and moving Witch’s Howl Castle. As she bargains with fire demons and encounters unexpected magic, Sophie uncovers surprising truths about Howl, the curse, and herself.

The Life Into by Kristin Harmel – ebook – $1.99
This is the same author who wrote one of my favorite historical fiction titles of 2015 (hello, The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau)? I first read this about a decade ago and totally read it! It was very interesting and I had to know how it turned out, the kind of solid, fun chick that really works.
