4 Favorite Things for October (+ my team’s picks!)

October flew by in a flash (going away for a week in Boston definitely made it feel like it flew by) and I can’t believe it’s Halloween this weekend.

We are finishing up our last Halloween costumes and getting ready for our annual Halloween dinner and going back to school and work after a week off.

Here are my four favorite things this month!

Ruti pants
I don’t want to like this because it’s so expensive. And then I absolutely LOVE them. These are the perfect dress up/dress down pants and are great for traveling – I wore them a few days on our trip to Boston including on the cross country flight home. I wear a normal size and got the petite version because I am a little under 5’4″.

Walmart Dress
I tried on so many dresses for our family photos this year, including expensive dresses from Madewell and Boden and this Walmart dress is so adorable. It comes in lots of colors and I really love it – I chose burgundy!

DIBS Mascara
I’m hard to be impressed with mascaras and I’ve tried and true favorites, but I’ve used this one every day since I got it and it’s what I use for our family photos. The double ended design is a little bulkier to use than a standard tube, but the combination of primer and mascara gives me amazing lashes that are worth it.

Portable Charger
I have a few other portable chargers and this is the one I use every day on our trip to Boston – it charges my phone really fast, is nice, and is slim so it fits easily in my small shoulder bag. There are lots of color options and I like that there are two types of cables attached.

Super Comfortable Oversized Crew Neck Sweatshirt
When the seasons change, have you ever looked in your closet and thought, what did I wear last year? I had one of those moments this month. I have a lot of nicer than regular sweaters, but not a lot of comfortable, working from home, going to soccer games clothes. So I ordered this avocado green and Umber Earth crew neck sweater with the intention of only keeping one. Yes, I keep both and wear them many times. They look so cute with a white t-shirt underneath and I feel both put together and comfortable.

Rollneck Sweater
Fall is finally here, and nothing feels better than wearing this soft LL Bean rollneck sweater. I just got back from London, and it was perfect for walking around the city. Comfortable, chic, and ready for all the fall and winter adventures to come.

Cool. Cool
My husband and I love sipping Perk Chill in the evenings when it’s cold. It’s the perfect comfort drink and contains protein that helps muscle recovery overnight. Our favorite flavors are Dutch hot chocolate, mint chocolate, and raspberry chocolate.
