One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is releasing the annual reading log template.

You may remember the previous ones (they’re all still available in undated versions, if you want to use one this year too!) and now, just in time for the new year’s reading, the 2026 book log from Spaghetti Tree Games is here!

If you have a reading goal in 2026, this is for you! (Or for your class or family!).

There are over 75 places to track your books, from book spines to adorable library cards!

If your goal is to read 12 books by 2026, then you can color all but 12 of the spines.

If you’re aiming for 25, 50, or 75, you can do the same.

If you read MORE than 75 books this year, load up on this book and then print the second book!

There are many ways to use a reading log template – you can print a large version and hang it on the wall or a smaller size that fits on a bulletin board or a small version to tape or tack to the front of your planner or journal.

(If you want to print large, here are step-by-step instructions on how to do engineering printing – you’ll be amazed at how spectacular it is AND how cheap it is!)

You can write the title of the book you want to read this year on the back and then color it in when you’re finished.

You can color them all now and then write the titles as you read them.

You can use color coding to differentiate between audiobooks and paper books or adult books and read-aloud books or books by different authors or new releases and classics.

Basically the possibilities for bookkeeping are endless.

And it’s perfect for all ages – kids and adults.

I usually release my annual reading log template at the end of the year, but the last few years, A LOT of people have requested a release before Christmas so they can gift it along with a favorite book or print copies for their book club members or give them as gifts to neighbors – I LOVE hearing all the clever ways people use them!

No matter how you choose to use your 2026 book log – I hope it will make this upcoming reading year one of your best yet.
