This post is sponsored by Audible

This week Audible has a big sale going on with tons of books on sale for $5 or $6 and many at $3!

If you’re looking to bulk up your audiobook collection, there isn’t a better time to buy than now.

Here’s what you need to know about the Audible sale.

  1. You need to be an Audible Premium Plus subscriber to access the sale prices. If you aren’t a current member, you can sign up for 3 months at 99 cents a month here!
  2. The sale ends Sunday night! Do not wait if you want to snatch up some titles – they’ll all go back up at midnight on Sunday evening.
  3. If you purchase on the Amazon site, here’s how to pay for it with money instead of credits. It is going to default to wanting you to spend a credit, but if you scroll down just a bit, you’ll see the option to buy with cash instead. It looks like this:

Anyway, with those things out of the way, here are some of the titles I’m excited about – you can see the whole sale section here if you’d like to scope the entire list out.

The Best Audiobooks in Audible’s Sale

For Kids

dragon masters bookdragon masters book

Rise of the Earth Dragon by Tracey West – $0.71
48 minutes
Clocking in at almost an hour, this fantasy adventure is perfect for an afternoon at home or a lot of errands around town in the car. Most of the books in the series are this incredible price!

i survived pearl harbori survived pearl harbor

I Survived series by Lauren Tarshis – $0.81 each
Almost every book in this series in under $1! These are perfect for those non-fiction, historical fiction lovers in your life! So many great historical topics written about in a very engaging way! And if your kids end up loving them, I have a whole post here with other titles like the I Survived series.

all thirteenall thirteen

All Thirteen by Christina Soontornvat – $2.08
4 hours 4 minutes
Of all the books I hoped would be majorly discounted in this sale, All Thirteen is the title I get so excited to see. (Full review here)

the candy shop wars bookthe candy shop wars book

The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull – $2.15
10 hours 26 minutes
My girls have listened to this one nonstop over the years and this price is wild!

Nothing Else but Miracles by Kate Albus – $2.23
7 hours 17 minutes
Her book A Place to Hang the Moon, was my favorite read aloud from 2022, and this is her newest historical fiction title. This one is also set during World War II, following three siblings in New York City, as their father leaves to fight in the war. I read it aloud to my girls and we all loved it!

Wormwood AbbeyWormwood Abbey

Wormwood Abbey series by Christmas Baehr – $2.27
5 hours and 27 minutes
This one made it on to the 2025 Summer Reading Guide and for good reason! They have been a huge hit at our house, especially for my 12 & 14 year olds. Set in Victorian England, the series follows Edith and her family, dragon protectors who inherit an abbey in Yorkshire. They discover dragons on the property and must protect them from the outside world. With a spunky protagonist, a fantastic setting, and great character development, this YA series with a touch of fantasy is an absolute delight.

a long walk to water booka long walk to water book

A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park – $2.42
2 hours 41 minutes
I’ve loved Linda Sue Park since I read A Single Shard years ago, and this bestseller is about two eleven-year-olds in Sudan. One is a girl in 2008; the other is a boy in 1985.

a night divideda night divided

A Night Divided by Jennifer A. Nielsen – $2.48
7 hours 11 minutes
We love Jennifer Nielsen at our house (The False Prince series has been a hit with Bart, Ella and me!), and her historical fiction doesn’t miss either!

the cricket in times squarethe cricket in times square

The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden – $4.57
3 hours 18 minutes
This book is a great book for any elementary schooler! With a fun story about a cat, mouse and a cricket, this trio is hard to not love with all of their adventures!

the never girls collectionthe never girls collection

The Never Girls – In a Blink by Kiki Thorpe – $4.83
My girls have listened to this series a bazillion times in the last few years. It’s a series by Disney about four best friends who get whisked off to Never Land with Tinkerbell and her fairy friends.

GhostGhost

Ghost by Jason Reynolds – $4.95
3 hours and 29 minutes
Another Everyday Reading Book Club pick! I can’t wait to discuss this one in the month of July. I read the first book in this series years ago and have meant to go back for ages and read all four books in the series about four kids chosen for an elite middle school track team. This is a team that could qualify them for the Junior Olympics but only if they can get their acts together. Super readable and wonderful. We’ll only discuss the first one in book club but I’m planning to read all four!

a single sharda single shard

A Single Shard by Linda Sue Parks – $4.95
3 hours 12 minutes
When I was working more seriously on reading all the Newbery winners, I picked this one up, knowing exactly nothing about it. A story about potters in 12th century Korea might not sound thrilling but this book is PHENOMENAL. I listened to it again with my girls a few years ago and we all were entranced. I may have gotten teary in the driver’s seat multiple times.  (Full review here)

from the mixed up files of basil e frankweilerfrom the mixed up files of basil e frankweiler

From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by J.L Konigsburg – $4.97
3 hours 45 minutes
I had read part of this book but never finished it as a child. We first listened to it as a family and it was a DELIGHT! I just loved every bit of this book about two siblings that run away from home and live, undetected, in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

the view from saturday bookthe view from saturday book

The View From Saturday by Jenna Lamia – $5.94
4 hours 41 minutes
This is the first book I remember reading as a child and thinking “This is a really well written book.” This one is definitely for kids more in the middle grade age range. There are four main characters and it follows each family and how they intertwine. It’s a great one!

all-of-a-kind familyall-of-a-kind family

All-of-a-Kind Family Uptown by Sydney Taylor – $6.85
3 hours and 45 minutes
A story of a Jewish family, with five daughters growing up in uptown New York City. This is a classic, heartwarming story you don’t want to miss.

For Adults

every falling star bookevery falling star book

Every Falling Star by Sungju Lee – $2.01
9 hours and 24 minutes
This one is the August pick for the Everyday Reading Book Club, so snag this copy for crazy cheap if you plan to read along with me! The title tells you everything you need to know about this book written by a boy who grew up in North Korea and managed to escape. I cannot wait!

Comfort & Joy bookComfort & Joy book

Comfort & Joy by Kristin Hannah – $2.60
6 hours 6 minutes
This was on my list of holiday books to read last year and I didn’t get to it, but I’m determined not to miss it this year! I love Kristin Hannah’s historical fiction books but I’ve never read some of her older books back when she mostly wrote contemporary fiction.

p.s. i like you bookp.s. i like you book

P.S. I Like You by Kasie West – $3.04
6 hours 56 minutes
I recommend Kasie West all the time for people looking for clean YA romances. This one is just a quick fun read, even if I saw the twist a mile away.

a girl called samsona girl called samson

A Girl Called Samson by Amy Harmon – $3.25
13 hours 14 minutes
I have been so impressed and have truly loved the two Amy Harmon books I have read (What the Wind Knows and The Outlaw Noble Salt). This one is based on a real-life young woman who dressed as a man in order to fight in the American Revolution.

The One with the Kiss CamThe One with the Kiss Cam

The One With the Kiss Cam by Cindy Steel – $3.55
9 hours and 50 minutes
Another Summer Reading Guide pick! This book was pure delight! Nora is on a disastrous first date at an NBA game. But when her date gets up to get concessions, the kiss cam hovers over her and the stranger sitting next to her…let’s just say it might just be love at first kiss! This one is clean and funny with great banter and led me down the rabbit hole of other Cindy Steel books!

meditations for mortalsmeditations for mortals

Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman – $3.72
4 hours and 4 minutes
I loved this witty, wise guide to embracing life as it is (no matter how messy and imperfect it may be)! If you’re craving meaningful change without the hustle culture guilt trip, this one’s for you. I think I will be buying my own copy of this to have on hand – I could have marked up every page. It’s also designed to be read one chapter a day and each chapter is only 2-3 pages long so it’s very doable!

project hail mary bookproject hail mary book

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir – $3.89
16 hours 10 minutes
I loved this book from the author of The Martian – it’s clever and funny and fascinating. The audio is completely absorbing and you’ll feel like you’re out in deep space yourself!

tangled up in youtangled up in you

Tangled Up in You by Christina Lauren – $3.89
9 hours and 56 minutes
This one was so light and fluffy (it is a retelling of Disney’s Tangled) but it was just SO FUN and enjoyable and one of those books that I blew through in 2 days because it was just pure delight. Funny, romantic, and clever. I can’t ask for more! The entire series (aside from the newest ones) are also on big sale!

the outlaw noble saltthe outlaw noble salt

The Outlaw Noble Salt by Amy Harmon – $3.91
13 hours 44 minutes
I know I am not supposed to pick favorites, but I might admit that this book might have snagged my #1 spot in my 2024 Summer Reading Guide. This historical romance about Butch Cassidy, one of America’s most notorious train/bank robbers in the Old West, was everything I didn’t know I needed.

The Holiday Stand-In by Kortney Keisel – $4.41
8 hours 38 minutes
This book was just pure holiday romance fun. Summer loves Christmas and all the festivities surrounding it, but her boyfriend is too busy at work to come to the many holiday events her family has planned. Desperate to prove to her parents and family that she and Justin are a great match, she agrees to take Justin’s twin brother to holiday events in place of Justin. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out what’s going to happen in this book, but it is just a delight to watch it play out. This one has no language and no spicy scenes.

talking as fast as i can booktalking as fast as i can book

Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham – $5.94
4 hours 35 minutes
I loved Gilmore Girls back in the day and this was just so delightful. The audio version is also a really great listen since she reads it herself.

Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson – $3.25
12 hours and 27 minutes
This one made it to the Summer Reading Guide this year because it was an absolute delight for our entire family! We listened this full cast version on a road trip and made such fun memories listening all together! Tress has lived a quiet life until her beloved friend (and . .. .maybe more than friend?) is taken away on a voyage by his father and disaster strikes. Now Tress is ready to leave everything she’s ever known behind to stow away on a ship and sail across the mysterious seas where even a single drop of water can spell death for everyone aboard.

Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella – $2.79
12 hours 3 minutes
I know summer may seem like a weird time to be shopping for Christmas books, but now is the perfect time to stock up while they are on sale! Sophie Kinsella’s books just delight me! I find her books so hilarious and Christmas Shopaholic is no exception. It’s totally light-hearted and made me laugh out loud AND get in the Christmas spirit. Win-win. Lots of people have asked if you need to read the other Shopaholic books to enjoy this one and I don’t think you need to! It stands on its own pretty solidly.

defy the night bookdefy the night book

Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer $3.12
12 hours 58 minutes
Fantasy isn’t my normal genre, and this one isn’t full-on fantasy – there’s no magic or powers – but it’s set in a fictional world where the kingdom is splintering under the pressure of a mysterious sickness that’s spreading through the kingdom and the only cure is in short supply. The king and his brother took over running the kingdom after their parents were assassinated and they’re holding the kingdom together basically by brute force. Naturally, there are those in the Wilds who are determined to undermine the king’s iron grip on the kingdom. (Full review here)

That Fine Line by Cindy Steel – $3.55
8 hours 48 minutes
I have been loving Cindy Steel’s fluffy romances! In this one, Kelsey is engaged to get married and her high school enemy, who is always playing practical jokes on her, is hired by her father to help on their farm. Will her wedding go on without a hitch, especially with a meddling prankster? This is a closed-door romance, so if you like something clean but full of witty banter, this will fit the bill.

faking christmas bookfaking christmas book

Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel $3.55
9 hours 59 minutes
I blew through this one in a day and it’s a total delight. Olive and Miles are both high school English teachers and she cannot stand him – he’s stolen her title as most popular teacher and makes her work life nearly unbearable. But then, of course, the need for a fake boyfriend comes up and she uses his name to get her mom and sister to back off of setting her up with her ex-boyfriend during the holidays. Which would be fine until the REAL Miles shows up for the holiday celebrations.
