All about the Proper Mountain Women’s Club
At the start of the year, I was working on a post about how to enjoy winter and the Proper Mountain Woman Club kept coming when I asked for suggestions.
And this isn’t a casual suggestion for something they like.
No, the message about the Proper Mountain Woman Club looks like this:
The Proper Mountain Women’s Club has changed my life. I used to hate winter. But now I look forward to it.
And
This has literally pulled me out of my seasonal depression in the first winter of my adult life! Truly life changing) I’m having fun!
Wow! With a message like that, I knew I needed to sign up and try it for myself!

Each session (there are sessions for almost every season) there is a list of merit badges you can earn.
You record them digitally and then if you earn a certain number of badges, they count towards the patch and at the end of the session, the physical patch you earned will be sent to you. (So physical patches and digital merit badges).
There are typically 200+ possible merit badges to earn in various categories.
The Winter and Summer sessions are the biggest sessions (in fact, Proper Mountain Woman Club started out as just a Summer session!) but now there are lighter Spring and Fall sessions with fewer merit badges and a smaller price tag, so it’s a great time to test it out if you’re curious but not ready to commit to the whole shebang!

I found it a lot of fun and a fun way to add a little structure, whimsy and meaning to my winter season this year.
I’m jumping headfirst into the Spring session!
Here are some of the questions received about the Proper Mountain Woman Club!
How much does it cost?
Full sessions (Summer and Winter) are $75 each. Lighter sessions (Spring and Fall) are $50 each. Use my affiliate code dailyreading10 for 10% off!
How much of a time commitment are some badges?
They are everywhere! Some you can complete in just a few minutes (like “Sing a song at karaoke night” or “wear a pendant with a picture on it” or “try 3 English sweets you’ve never tried before) while others may take a while (like “walk around Hyde Park (3 miles) 5 times” or “Make Plum Pudding” or “Read Jane Eyre”). You can choose which badges you’re looking for so you can choose shorter, easier badges or bigger, longer ones!
Is the membership worth it…rather than just looking for a winter hobby?
You are the only one who can decide that! If you have a winter hobby and are ready to do it, it may be more suitable for you. If you need a guide and want to have fun and enjoyment, this may be for you and well worth the cost.
Where do you get it?
It’s completely online – you can sign up here (and use my code everyreading10 for 10% off).
Does this help you connect with the local community?
Not necessarily, but you can definitely use it that way. There are lots of badges that are great for connecting with others!
Can this be done on small children?
Very! I love hearing from so many moms of young kids who find it so fun to have their own projects to work on instead of always being in mom mode.
Do they have spring?
Yes! Spring just started this weekend, so it’s a great time to sign up!
Did you learn any new skills?
There are TONS of opportunities to learn new skills with her – some of them from the Winter 2026 session include snowshoeing, lots of cooking projects, calligraphy, bookbinding and more. Again, you have a lot of control over which one you choose
Is it challenging?
Yes, but in a good way!
How long will it take?
As much or as little as you want! I like what is written in the workbook “You’ll see troop members earning badge after badge, baking cakes at sunrise, climbing mountains at dusk, and somehow building greenhouses in between. Hooray for them! But hear this loud and clear: there are no races. Some members are working full-time jobs or raising children. Others are homeless people racking up merit badges faster than we can type them. All measures are welcome here. The goal is not to get the most bang for your buck – it’s to get what matters to you. This club is here to add excitement, not taste guilt It’s a gentle nudge towards a goal, not a productivity cooker. So whether you earn one badge or fifty, let it be because it fills your cup – not empties it.”
I just signed up for the Spring session and I can’t wait – if you join, let me know and we can work on badges together (my affiliate code is everyreading10 for 10% off club dues).

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
