I had a friend ask me for a cute, unique book to take with her on an upcoming cruise – and this is what I immediately thought of! And at under $2, you can’t beat it! I read the whole thing in two days, laughing out loud. Her experiences and stories are a perfect blend of the universal experiences of childhood and growing up as well as experiences more specific to immigrant families. I’ve read almost all of Emily Giffin’s books, but I still think about her first book, Something Borrowedis the best, about Rachel always playing second fiddle to her very lively and beautiful best friend, Darcy. I really enjoyed this memoir about Stanley Tucci. This isn’t about her acting career at all, but about how food impacts her life. It’s so cute, but also sweet and tender.

Ella took the copy Children’s President a while ago and really enjoyed it. I’d love to see an audiobook version Child Scientist available for under $2! (Plus, it’s a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)
